Hello Karen,Thank you for your advice it is much appreciated, I ran Windows Update troubleshooter and received following message'Windows update standalone installer has failed'I then clicked on link for 'Fix Windows Update issues' and received following message when I downloaded link.' Installer encountered error Ox8008005 service execution failed'I have purchased reimage scan file which shows no faults or errors so surprised to still receive error code Ox800700c1 when Microsoft automatically tries to update from 1511 to 1709Any thoughts would be much appreciated.RegardsSteve.

The only option I have is to re-install to previous version windows 7, however I do not have a disc saved with previousversion and cannot use restore option as it is years since I last used windows 7. I have gone to settings - Update & Security but cannot use Reset this PC option, The Message I get is 'You can't use this feature because user account control is set to alwaysnotify you about system changes'. Do I have any options to restore to windows 7, can you also confirm what date/year Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 version 1511.Look forward to hear from youRegardsSteve.
