This might come off as dumb, but, how do I launch the application from the files there? There doesn't seem to be an.exe file for Cheat Engine from what I've downloaded. I've used Cheat Engine before, but it's been a while and have changed computers since then (which is why I don't already have it installed), so I'm a bit confused. Just reloaded after the successful cheat, finding out how it can be made to work is more interesting than playing with the better Crafting.For everyone who also cannot get the GoG-version to run with the tables or in case a new patch comes out that invalidates the cheat:You will need more than one Ability Point to spend (3 or 4 works good, but it probably also works with 2).I. Save your game.II. Open the game's process in Cheat Engine and search for your current free points.
Change the value in the game and APPROVE the change with the green marker (you need to do that). Like buy a point in something you do not need.III. Scan for that new value in cheat engine.IV. Go back to the game, move the party a bit, move the screen a bit. Then just do a new scan with the same value like the last scan.
That will eliminiate a lot of Values that fit simply by chance.V. Buy another point in the game, approve, scan for the new Value in Cheat Engine. Repeat until you have no more points to spend. Sometimes it helps if you do IV. Again, until no more values can be eliminated.You should have four addresses, all showing the same value.VI.
Change all four values to whatever points you want in CE.V. Go back into the game, close all menus, open them up again and you will see your new points to spend.As this process finds the absolute addresses and not pointers, you'll have to redo this each time you reload. But it works and you might not do it often.
This should also work with all kinds of other fields you might want to play with. This is somewhat crude, but quickly done and effective. The AOB table should work on anything, be it gog or steam, they are asm patches, and those portions don't change often, so most of the cheats still work.It is far easier to patch the asm into the exe and be done with it.Ie.

If you are playing in Windows, you can use for that.For the install you would either need to uncheck some extra 'offers', or install it while offline. There is also a on the downloads page. If you don't already have an archive manager that can handle rar files, try the freeware.Here is a I downloaded from (broken link) when it was still available. It wasn't updated for the latest version of the game, but works for what I've tried with it (adjusting abilities and talents).Start the game and load a save, open the table (I just extracted it into the CheatEngine install folder), click the 'Select a process to open' button at the top left (highlighted with a flashing box cycling between red and green), select EoCApp.exe (preceded by a hex number, ie 00001FD0-EoCApp.exe) and click the Open button and then Yes. In the bottom list there are options for unlimited health, unlimited action points, etc, which I have not tried. I believe they should take effect immediately.For character edits, select Hero Pointers, then go through Hero 1 to 4 to identify the right character. There is an 'Upgrade Points' section where you can add attribute, ability and talent points, and sections for each of those where you can remove/adjust values.

Double click the value to change, and when you are done, switch back to the game to save/load. Character changes require a save/load to get them to show up in-game.If you can not select the boxes at the bottom in CheatEngine, exit the program and the game and start over. That happened to me a couple times.
