.Helpful resources.General rules. Follow. Keep it civil and on topic. Just tried it out, and it doesn't seem to detect an issue. And the settings app still doesn't work after a reboot.To clarify, the store app works, and always has.

But I don't even particularly need it. The settings app is the one I'm having trouble with, and would have to fix if I want to do something as basic as even updating the system.And, it's a self-built, so no warranty or free software repairs there. But if it gets to that point I'd just have to install a fresh Windows 10 iso. Just hoping I could avoid that so I don't have run into one of the oh so infamous Windows 10 re-installation disasters. Friend had a similar error occuring where the sfc /scannow and powershell DISM repair resolved with no errors and the problem persisted.Attempt rebooting into safe mode/diagnostics mode and see if that fixes the settings panel. This would lead me to check the setup applications and services afterwards.

After stopping unnecessary third party applications, restarted the themes service. Rebooted the machine, problem was solved.

The target machine was a HP windows 8.1 that went to windows 10.
